Mafia Wars is a flash game build in of facebook.
Job Mastery:
Each job tab has three levels. Start at the Street Thug Tab and fill all the bars beside the jobs. Every time you fill a bar you will gain one skill point. Once you have filled the bars beside every job, the first level is mastered. You will receive the title of street thug and the bars will reset and you are ready to start on level two. Repeat the process twice more earning 1 skill point for every bar filled, and title promotion for each level mastered. Once the 3rd level is mastered the bars will stay full and you will receive the Job Mastery Bonus for mastering the job tab. Repeat the process for each job tab.
Street Thug: Pistol Bayonet = +4% damage dealt in fights.
Associate: Bugatti = -7% damage received in fights.
Soldier: Golden Skull = a 30 second reduction on your health regeneration timer.
Enforcer: Money Plate = a 5% discount on property purchases.
Hitman: Chainsaw Bayonet = a 30 second reduction on your stamina regeneration timer.
Capo: State Senator = a 5% discount on property repairs.
Consigliere: Helicopter = a 30 second reduction on your energy regeneration timer.
Underboss: Private Island = a 5% bonus on job experience.
Boss: Golden Throne = 2x the energy regenerated per regeneration period.
Collection/Vault:
Collect items for collections by doing jobs in the specified job tabs. Once you have all seven items in a collection, click vault to receive your bonus. You can only vault one of each type of collection.
It is unlikely that you will complete all the collections in a tab before you have completely mastered the job tab. You have to go back and do jobs in the specific tab for the collections you need to complete or add them to your wish list.
NOTE:
Some collections will not show on your collections page until you collect the 1st item in the collection. Do not worry, this is normal and you are still able to collect them.

Promotions:
Promote mafia members to your Top Mafia to earn bonuses.
Mastermind – Choose a member with many jobs completed to promote to Mastermind to get more experience points from doing jobs. Your Mastermind gains a small chance of gaining 50% more experience when performing jobs.
Wheelman – Choose a member with the Fearless character type and a high level to promote to Wheelman to get a reduced energy cost for jobs. Your Wheelman gains a small chance to perform jobs for no energy.
Button Man – Choose a member with the Maniac character type and a high level to promote to Button Man to get an Attack bonus. Your Button Man gains a small chance to always win fights they initiate.
Bodyguard – Choose a member with many fights won to promote to Bodyguard to get a Defense bonus. Your Bodyguard gains a small chance to always win fights when they are attacked.
Safecracker – Choose a member with many successful heists to promote to Safecracker to get more money from fighting and robbing. Your Safecracker gains a small chance to gain double the money when fighting or robbing.
Bagman – Choose a member with the Mogul character type and a high level to promote to Bagman to get more money from jobs. Your Bagman gains a small chance to gain double the money when performing jobs.
